OSSA Fall Protection Training

Workers required to utilize fall protection equipment must be trained in the proper selection, use, care, and maintenance of the equipment. Cervus Equipment offers Fusion Safety Services OSSA certified fall protection course. This course includes an Instructor-led powerpoint presentation, practical exercises, class discussions, videos, written knowledge test and practical exam. Our fall protection training covers:

  • Fall Restraint vs Fall Arrest
  • Types of falls and effects
  • Fall Protection Planning
  • Rescue and Escape Planning
  • Recognition, Evaluation and Control of Hazards

  • Fall Arrest calculations
  • Proper donning/doffing of Fall Protection Equipment

Program Length: 8 hours
OSSA Certification: Valid for 3 years

COURSE OPTIONS

IN-CLASS TRAINING

The in-class training program offers a classroom session focused on theory. Students will be required to inspect serveal components of fall protection equipment and perform a controlled lift.

ON-SITE TRAINING

For convenience, our certified trainers can train YOUR employees at YOUR facility. On-site training begins with a session of classroom theory and a written examination followed by practical hands-on training.
