Prairie Women on Snowmobiles Raise over $144,000 for Cancer Research

It’s not every day you see 10 women, decked out in pink winter gear, riding snowmobiles. For the past 17 years, Prairie Women on Snowmobiles have been taking Saskatchewan by storm, raising funds and awareness for breast cancer. 

Each year, 10 brave women set out on a 1,400-kilometer route over six long days. The mission is not for the faint of heart. The winter weather is met with long days of riding, leaving the snowmobilers cold and stiff. Physically enduring the ride is a feat, though the ultimate triumph is the riders’ support of cancer victims and survivors throughout Canada.   

Brandt Truck & Trailer has been a proud supporter of Prairie Women on Snowmobiles for more than 15 years. Each mission, Brandt helps the women complete the daunting route with a Peterbilt truck to carry the snowmobiles throughout the night while the riders catch up on rest.

The 2017 mission raised more than $144,000 to fight breast cancer and to date, Prairie Women on Snowmobiles have raised $2.3 million, contributing 100 percent of the funds to breast cancer research throughout Saskatchewan and all of Canada.
