Artesian Angus Farms Thrives With Brandt Partnership.

In his early years, Kole Reimer thought he would have a career as a hockey player one day. But by the time he was 13 years old, he had decided he wanted to stay on the family farm. “I fell in love with the equipment,” he says. “I like that you make your own hours as a farmer. And when you have a family, it’s great to work close to home.”

At 28 years old, Kole is the third generation of Artesian Angus Farms, located just north of White Fox, Saskatchewan. His grandfather, Don started the farm in the 1960s and continues farming today at 85 years old. Kole’s father, Curtis, also works with them on the 1000-head of Black Angus cattle operation, which calves 450 head each year. “My dream for the business would be to see my nieces and nephews take over the farm one day,” Kole says.

Artesian Angus Farms are the proud owners of not one, but two John Deere 6 Series Row-Crop Tractors from Brandt.

The Reimers are big fans of the 6 Series. “We like the front suspension and the cab suspension. We love how smooth it rides down the road and in the field,” Kole remarks. “It can carry two bales, and the ride header is very strong, so there’s no twisting or turning when you’re carrying a bail or pushing in the winter. It’s an overall great tractor for loading and hauling bales, loading silage, and processing bales—it does whatever we need it to do.”

The family had purchased skid steers and mini hoes from Brandt before the company added ag equipment to its lineup. “We were excited to learn Brandt is now an ag dealer. They’re Saskatchewan-owned, have a wide span of equipment, and are known for great parts selection and service,” Kole explains.

Most of all, the Reimers value the service Brandt delivers. “When we’ve had combine or tractor issues, they got us up and running in 24 hours,” Kole says. The family also appreciates the level of service provided to both large and small operations. “It’s not just about the big guys. They know that if you take care of the small customers, they’ll stay with you forever.”

Kole concludes, “Brandt looks after their customers first and makes sure you’re happy at the end of the day.”
