The specially-designed bolted chassis offers a low center point of gravity. The heart of the mainframe is based on the X–structured piece in the center of the frame. This design allows chassis to take torque and movements in a better way while limiting the risk of material fatigue or stress. The lower side of the chassis limits crop damage by guiding crop canopy underneath the machine.

The narrow drawbar design and adjustable height connection to the tractor are standard equipment. A hydraulic parking jack is fully integrated in to the drawbar.

With its low center of gravity and even weight distribution, the R900i Series is built for stability. The entire chassis is designed especially for the job. The heart of the mainframe is the cross structure in the center section. The frame cradles the large polyethylene tank perfectly. The specially shaped tank offers a deep sump while the steeply sloping bottom reduces chemical residue to a minimum and provides exceptional stability at all times.

The tanks are made of rugged, durable polyethylene, and the frame cradles the take perfectly for years of trouble-free service. Tanks are designed for a low center of gravity and material choices in combination with the round design make even the tank better all around. Due to the special tank design, additional tank baffles are not needed. It is easier to agitate liquid due to the smooth tank that has less risk of spray solution sticking to the inside of the tank. Thanks to the deep sump and steeply sloping bottom, dead volume is minimized, even on slopes. With no dead corners and baffles to disrupt the flow, agitation and rinsing are swift, smooth, and thorough.

The durable heavy-duty axle is fully integrated and comes standard with ProRoad double-linked axle suspension. The frame, tank, and single axle design offer many solutions that help the machine stay bottom heavy on the road and the field - no matter how full or empty the sprayer is.

Regardless of the boom position, the level weight distribution helps to keep the machine steady even on slopes. That means better maneuverability, smoother transport, and faster, more accurate spraying.

The ergonomic design of the operator’s station makes operation of SolutionCommand easy and convenient. The automated operation limits the risk of mistakes and save valuable time by efficiently setting up the machine for the job.

SolutionCommand speeds up spraying operations with automated settings that make filling, spraying, and rinsing faster, easier, and more accurate. Continual control can be maintained from the operator’s station of the sprayer or at the display in comfort of the cab.

Overfill protection prevents overflow when filling and the standard non-return check valve in the system prevents a back flow. A smart solution prevents point-source pollution, chemical spillage, and protects the environment.

The PowrFill chemical inductor hopper, spray gun, and clothing lockers are neatly stored behind the protective shielding, and filters and hose connections are easily accessible. SolutionCommand switches are protected by a cover provides instant visibility of the switch’s position and protects the switch panel.

The PowrFill chemical inductor is specially designed to handle larger amounts in a short timeframe. At the push of a button, a powerful injector quickly draws the crop protection chemicals on top in to the tank, limiting the risk on foaming when loading.

Once in transport or spraying mode, the inductor is stored safe and sound behind cover.

Easy filling

The ergonomically-designed operator's station makes operation easy and convenient. SolutionCommand filters and hose connections are protected from dirt from the tractor wheels and easily accessible.

The 50-L (13.2-gal.) PowrFill inductor is safely stored behind the cover of the operator station. Once operators get started, setup is easy. The protective clothing locker with safety gear is stored within range. The PowrFill chemical inductor hopper swings out and is ready to work with the push of a button. The design of the hopper allows easy and convenient handling of different formulations of crop protection chemicals.

The conical-shaped chemical inductor is specially designed to handle larger amounts in a short timeframe. A powerful injector quickly transfers the crop protection chemical from on top to the main tank to limit the risk of foaming when loading.

The overall diameter is approximately 50 cm (19.7 in.) to handle a large number of different packages. Nozzles inside the hopper help prevent the powder and granulate granulate from clogging at the inside, and the stainless-steel sieve prevents clogging of the injector line. A spray gun is standard equipment to help dissolve when needed.

Ready with the fill, wash gloves at the tap on the operator's station, and store protective clothing and PowrFill inductor safe and sound behind the cover again.

Accurate boom-height adjustment is controlled by the mult-functional lever in the cab. TerrainControl™ Pro and TerrainCommand™ Pro boom control systems take away the guesswork of setting correct spray boom height at the spray start. Boom tilt is based on hydraulic tilt cylinder that provides an immediate response when the boom tilt position needs to be adjusted, a solution without negatively affecting the boom pendulum system.

The boom-height adjustment is based on a durable parallelogram construction that provides enough clearance for various crops heights. This solution supports equal height adjustment speed and creates sufficient clearance at the rear limiting crop damage.

The hydraulic cylinders for height adjustment operate in conjunction with the R900i’s large accumulator to absorb vertical boom movements during spraying. Together with John Deere BoomGuard in the centerframe that limits pitching, yawing, and rolling, it absorbs boom movements during spraying and supports excellent spray distribution.

The equalizer bar located underneath the centerframe and next to the folding cylinders creates the mechanical connection between the left and right inner boom segments. This solution equalizes the load on the fold cylinders. Even if the sprayer is not in level position, it supports simultaneous folding of the inner wings. This solution minimizes machine instability when folding. The parallelogram boom lift is secured with hydraulic operated mechanical locks in transport mode.
